Tetrami

A linear graphic character, with a strong functional impact, distinguishes Tetrami, the new collection of free-standing containers born from the creative flair of the Japanese master Naoto Fukasawa. The rectangle is the star element, as are the feet that unexpectedly materialize as vertical extensions of the two central partitions. The object is created thanks to the experience of expert cabinetmakers and is composed of extra thin wooden lists. Generously sized but not bulky, Tetrami is available in two heights. The taller model can be used as a sideboard, while the lower version can complement a sofa or double as a TV stand. Tetrami is available as an open cabinet or with drawers, making it a functional container. The grain and texture of ash make it an elegant and refined piece of furniture. The cabinets are also available in a two-tone version by combining the two ash tones for the finish of the outer and inner surfaces.

Alcor is a family of cabinets, sideboards and consoles marked by rigorous aesthetic paired with precious wood surfaces, expression of the excellence of Maxalto’s artisan processes. Offered in different configurations, dimensions and heights, with hinged and flap doors, drawers and open compartments, these pieces have an inlaid damier checker board pattern in various woods to choose in the various finishes included in the collection. A further treatment of the surfaces make them special and precious with chromatic variations of shellac. The latter, combined with the coloring, makes you think of the East, but is at the same time an expression of great craftsmanship. The entire series has a visually light structure with painted aluminium supports.

The Convivium storage unit features the roto-translating door opening system developed for the new Backstage wardrobes. It takes the place of a large storage unit used in a dining room, and is designed to store all of the tableware in a dedicated space. A large family of storage units enhanced by chromatic variations and plays of bright and matt finishes, while maintaining the formal rigour of the design. They are customised by an important detail: the greater depth of the tops and sides, as compared to the drawers, that contribute a sense of depth to the front. Chest of drawers that develop vertically or horizontally are placed beside elements that are less deep, with fronts that alternate empty portions and drawers, designed for use at the bedside.

The Eracle storage unit for the sleeping area features rigorous, well-balanced proportions. Also proposed in a double-sided version, it is characterised by volumes, doors and backs with transparent glass (lined internally with high-tech fabric) and metallic profiles. The use of precious materials ensures minimal, sophisticated aesthetics: the wooden frame comes in all the essences available in the catalogue, while the interior is lined with melamine faced colonial leather and is fitted with a chest of drawers. Trays and clothes rails in colonial leather and a complete range of accessories offer extensive customisation solutions. The light positioned inside the storage unit offers a refined vintage detail that echoes the display units of the 1950s. For years the star of the Maxalto range for the bedroom, the wardrobe is also presented in a “display” version with glass doors and sides, making it a real showcase for clothing. The inside is embellished with a raffia back panel, a style choice also designed to lend more solidity to the interiors.

A simple, defined design with front faces marked with strip that underscore the doors and the unexpected lacquered interior, that embodies a graceful Eastern sophistication capable of hiding at first glance to reveal at a later moment. Other details enrich these storage units: the upper top creates a tray and the hinged plate functions as a handle.

Defined by clear lines and increased thicknesses, these units are inspired by the Venetian architectural element (an outdoor loggia made of wood, often featuring a marble floor) after which they have been named.
