New Arrivals

    Arbiter

    Antonio Citterio

Arbiter is a modular seating system with extra-large measurements and oversized cushions, ideal for large spaces, that completes the brand’s range of sofas. The abundance of material is counterbalanced by the stylistic essentiality of the precise, almost archetypal lines, designed to lighten its impact in the home environment. The production technique is one typical of Maxalto: a steel frame and cold-foamed polyurethane structure. It comes in two depths (105 and 115 cm) in various configurations with or without a chaise-longue. There is also a version with Citterio’s beloved discontinuous backrest, which is designed to create seating that looks in the opposite direction, for example facing the bookcase behind the sofa. The range of materials introduces options with refined, distinctly woolly, and richly textured fabrics. The cushions present a surprising solution: in each pair, the small one sits behind the larger one, which thus becomes a kind of additional backrest that wraps around the sitter’s shoulders.

    Lilum

    Antonio Citterio

Characterized by the sinuous, organic-inspired lines Lilum is designed specifically for convivial and intimate solutions, and therefore to exist within the same environment together with more formal sofas. This is the only sofa in the Maxalto range with a direct seating frame. It is available in various compact shapes. The construction technique is mixed: the backrest is molded using in-house technology that ensures maximum precision of each profile, while the base is made using the classic technique for quality with multilayer glued laminated wood, without nails or glue. The aluminium profile in various finishes, that perfectly follow its geometry that defines the contour with a touch of understated refinement, while the accentuated edge separating the base from the seating, is a reminder of traditional handcrafted sofas.

    Nooch

    Piero Lissoni

After the great success of Borea, Piero Lissoni and B&B Italia continue to pursue research and sustainability in the outdoor sector, creating Nooch, a modular seating system whose name is inspired by the tropical botanical garden of Nong Nooch in Thailand. Its key feature is the tubular structure in recycled aluminium, a light and strong material, completely recyclable. A choice inspired by simplicity, which recalls elementary tubular structures and ennobles them with a design that pays attention to every detail. The intersection of the structural elements represents the iconic feature of this collection, with the particular elbow curve achieved by the way the aluminium bends. A design and engineering detail that combines function and beauty. Nooch is a system that offers the possibility of creating infinite combinations from two base modules: a rectangular one and a square one. Both can be equipped with backrests and armrests and have an aluminium top with slats on which the cushions rest. The modules can be arranged as free-standing units or attached firmly together by means of special interlocking joints so as to create a variety of configurations. A series of additional top sections, to be inserted between the elements, offers even greater compositional freedom. The paddings are designed with sustainability in mind. They use regenerated materials, which are completely separable, and consist of two layers of polyurethane with different densities and firmness: one layer made of polyurethane recycled from production waste and one made of virgin bio-polyurethane, both wrapped in an outer sheath of recycled PET. The system is completed by a small round service element to be inserted between the cushions to offer further support and a particular backrest/armrest cushion to be inserted between the elements to create inverted and double-sided seats.

It is available in linear and corner versions with chase longue, with fabric or leather upholstery.

    Arne

    Antonio Citterio

Designed to create the setting for leisure activities, Arne stands out for the curved shape that envelops the user. It is an invitation to socialise and share moments together, to converse and watch television shows on a large screen. It has all the features of the protagonist designed to be centrally placed in the room and, even placed against a wall, it never loses its image of comfort and lightness conveyed by the aluminium supports on which both seat and backrest seem to be suspended.

    Atoll

    Antonio Citterio

Named after the coral formation B&B Atoll, the new modular seating system by Antonio Citterio, is a refined expression of a balanced aesthetic form and a decisive contemporary style that is also extremely elegant. The system is built on three basic platforms – 190 cm and 240 cm, both with 90 cm depth, and 130 cm with 140 cm deep – that are complemented by armrest and backrest elements to form various types of seats: sofas, dormeuses, corner-end modules, single or modular elements with chaise longue and ottomans. The frames have light, slender lines and are applied on high die-cast supports with metal profile emphasising the line between the structure and upholstery. Two finishes are available, pewter and black chrome. The pieces are given even more character by a supporting element to be placed wherever desired, a bolster in two sizes – 65 cm and 90 cm – attached by leather straps to a die-cast structure. This accessory can be inserted between the seat cushion and the base structure to provide an additional support or become an armrest or backrest at will. B&B Atoll is a dynamic project with a constantly fresh ability to adapt to different compositions and create different seating types, from informal relax versions to most formal, also made possible by the use of complementary back cushions.

    Atoll Soft

    Antonio Citterio

In line with the concept of continuous growth and evolution, the B&B Atoll collection has been extended with the new B&B Atoll Soft sofa. Alongside the classic version now stands a new version, with even softer shapes and cushions. In terms of appearance, B&B Atoll Soft stands out for its more informal look arising from a more accentuated roundness and bevelled edges, offering a promise of comfort further confirmed by the brand new upholstery.

    Aurae

    Antonio Citterio

Geometric volumes raised off the floor and soft clean rigorous lines are the distinctive characteristics of Aurae sofas. This collection offers a high level of formal elegance, with linear seating in five dimensions with a generous depth, completed by soft backrest cushions to guarantee maximum comfort. Great attention is given to tailored details with fabric upholstery embellished with a faux leather trim and leather covers enriched with profile seams

    Finishes:

Fabric in Liveri White and Amber Painted Base

    Ayana

    Naoto Fukasawa

Innovative in its warm minimalism, the Ayana outdoor sofa, available in a two- and three-seater version, sees wood as the absolute protagonist. While the depths and heights are a clear reference to the south-east Asian tradition, the backrest recalls a Swedish wall bar, a piece of exercising equipment turned into a load-bearing element. Through this solution, creating an elegant interplay of intersections and proportions, the Ayana sofas can also be placed in the centre of the room. The sofa armrest can be combined with a cushion that is easy to fasten and remove and helps to lie down more comfortably if necessary

    Bay

    Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien

The Bay two- or three-seater outdoor sofa stands out for its sculptural, monolithic design. Enveloping double-braided volumes create air pockets that grant transparency and lightness to the collection, while padded rock-like seats and soft cushions reflect the elegance, comfort and refinement of indoor products.

    Bend

    Patricia Urquiola

Bend-Sofa is a modular sofa with a great personality. It seems to have been moulded by an artist’s hand, but actually originates from the study of 3D models and digital research. Its irregular shape enhances comfort. The very name Bend-Sofa effectively expresses the idea of movement obtained by the alternation of solids and voids, underlined by the contrasting stitching that gives rise to a further design on its irregular and sinuous surface.

    Borea

    Piero Lissoni

The outdoor Borea two-seater and three-seater sofas feature a tubular metal frame with a fluid and seamless design, without joints and interruptions, and an unexpected motif in the end part that rests on the ground. The metal bending processes used exploit techniques typically used in the aeronautical sector and transport them into the world of outdoor furniture, giving life to a collection with an unmistakable style.

    Butterfly

    Patricia Urquiola

The Butterfly modular outdoor seating system gets its name from the “butterfly” shape created by the outer corner that joins the armrest and the backrest. With its generous, sinuous lines, it responds effectively to the need for modularity and comfort, offering a free and informal use. Its modular structure is shaped around an ottoman, which is the base piece, and which, when integrated with the backrest and/or the armrest, becomes a central or terminal element, either to the left or right. The combination of these elements, using a simple joint system, makes it possible to freely set up versatile configurations, from in-line sofas to corner solutions, from front-facing to lounge layouts. Completely upholstered, Butterfly brings outdoors the quality and comfort that have always characterised the company’s indoor seating.

    Finishes:

    Black Colour Feet Finish

    Cushion:

    Camaleonda

    Mario Bellini

In its new version, Camaleonda preserves the elements that have made it an iconic piece of furniture. Certain elements remain faithful to the original project, such as the 90×90 cm seat module, the backrest and armrest, and the characteristic capitonné design, still manufactured with the innovative system of cables, hooks and rings created by Bellini in 1970, which defines its characteristic look and modularity.
