    Almora

    Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien

Almora is a revolving chair named after the Indian region that offers a breath-taking view of the Himalayas and, quoting its designers, it longs to be “a haven from the world, a place for contemplation and reading from where one can admire magnificent snow-capped peaks. As protective as a second skin, enveloping like a soft blanket”.

    Apollo

    Antonio Citterio

An in-line sofa, curved sofa, terminal elements or chaise longue, a dormeuse and a swivel armchair: these are the elements making up this seating collection with a distinctive personality. Each is marked by curved yet rigorous forms, creating a very harmonious and balanced aesthetic. The backrest design, generous seat depth, anatomical shapes and soft padding are all elements that make Apollo extremely welcoming and comfortable. The rich selection of upholstery includes a wide range of fine fabrics and leathers. The fabric covers are further embellished with relief stitching, while the leather ones feature elegant “envelope” stitching. The frame is defined by a painted aluminium edge available in a range of sophisticated colour

    Atoll

    Antonio Citterio

The latest addition to the B&B Atoll seating range is this new small armchair. Agile and elevated in design, its thin metal legs evoke the style of the sofa and are ideally complemented by the characteristic shape of the cushions, which harmonise linearity with softness. The backrest and seat are characterised by two soft cushions that rest on a slightly inclined frame, providing the ideal balance between comfort and functionality.

    Ayana

    Naoto Fukasawa

Minimalist and innovative, the Ayana collection becomes a new chapter in the story that connects B&B Italia to Naoto Fukasawa. It sees wood as the protagonist, interpreted in an unusual way, witha pleasant oriental touch. If the depths and heights are a clear reference to the south-east Asian tradition, the backrest recalls a Swedish wall bar, an exercise equipment turned into a load-bearing element. Thanks to this solution, the elements of the Ayana collection can be enjoyed and appreciated at 360 degrees, discovering on each side a new elegant interplay of intersections and proportions. Two and three seat sofas and the armchair have armrests at different heights. The armchair armrest is higher to guarantee a more ergonomic seat. The sofa armrest, which is lower, can be combined with a cushion that is easy to be fastened and removed, and helps to lie down more comfortably if necessary. The upholstery of this collection stands out for the individual cushions, all covered with waterproof fabrics. Ayana’s warm minimalism is completed with a chair, a dining table and a low table. The dining chair recalls the stylistic features of the other seats, for a perfect family feeling, with the structure in natural teak wood and two generously padded cushions covered in fabric. The table stands out for its oval top in serpentine, a typical stone of the Alps. The supporting structure in natural teak appears light but is extremely robust, able to resist weather and support the heavy top. Even the coffee table has a round section structure in natural teak, with a top in serpentine. Its broad dimensions allow to create a pleasant convivial atmosphere in outdoor settings. Ayana is a project with a green soul. The teak used to make the structures is FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council) and all the materials that make up the various elements of the series, at the end of the product’s life cycle, can be separated and disposed of with respect for the environment.

    Bay

    Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien

Bay is a sculptural, monolithic collection of braided outdoor furnishings. Enveloping braided volumes are combined with padded rock-like seats and soft cushions that reflect the elegance, comfort and refinement of B&B Italia’s indoor products. Sensually shaped, their double braiding creates air pockets that grant transparency and lightness to the collection.

    Beverly ’14

    Antonio Citterio

    Borea

    Piero Lissoni

The Borea armchair with striking proportions and the Borea small armchair, forming part of a collection of outdoor seats, tables and small tables, stands out for its tubular metal frame featuring a fluid, continuous design, without joints or interruptions, and attractive feet. The metal bending and curving processes used exploit techniques typically used in the aeronautical sector and transport them into the world of outdoor furniture, giving life to a product with an unmistakable style.

    Cushions:

    Fabric in Aliseo Cream White

    Canasta

    Patricia Urquiola

Vienna straw, with its geometric decorative pattern, is the inspiration behind Canasta, the Spanish term for basket. Enlarged to macro proportions, the design is applied to armchairs with a striking effect, available with a high or low backrest. Both are characterised by polyethylene fibre ribbons woven onto a powder-coated aluminium frame. Classic in style but with a contemporary sense of plasticity, Canasta is a hyper-decorative collection, ideal for use at the edge of a swimming pool or in a luxuriant garden. In addition to armchairs, the family also includes sofas, tables, small tables, and other furnishings.

    Canasta ’13

    Patricia Urquiola

Canasta ’13 by Patricia Urquiola is given a tortora melange makeover with the new polyethylene fibre, creating an interlacing that evokes the designer’s Crinoline collection. The sofas, armchairs and small armchairs all feature new fabrics and are accompanied by small tables that harmonise with the new colours.

    Caratos

    Antonio Citterio

The Caratos range has grown and is ever expanding – providing a rich collection of ideas for the most diverse environments. The common thread of each piece is their recognisable die-cast aluminium base. In addition to the chairs and armchairs presented in 2017, Caratos presents a small armchair with armrest, an armchair, a tub armchair, two stools with swivel seats, a bench, an ottoman and a coffee table. The graphite and amber metal frames are accompanied by blue, amaranth, and cream painting, which complement the fabric covers. Noteworthy is the introduction of a soft, deep pile wool velvet that creates a “teddy bear” effect. With this new collection, Caratos proves to be a group of flexible products that will reveal new future surprises.

    Caratos

    Antonio Citterio

The Caratos ottomans are versatile furnishings that adapt to a vast range of furnishing styles and contexts. They stand out for their openly contemporary nature and for the detail on the base, which recurs throughout the entire Caratos collection: an iconic frame with slender die-cast aluminium legs available in a range of finishes. The ottomans are available with or without the seat cushion and upholstered either in fabric or in leather.

    Finishes:

    Fabric in Lille White Rope

    Amber Painted Frame Finish

    Charles Outdoor

    Antonio Citterio

The Charles Outdoor armchair, part of the homonymous series of outdoor seating, maintains the characteristics that have made the Charles indoor seating system a classic with a decidedly contemporary taste. Indeed, the system features the same slim frame, flexibility and signature design of the inverted “L” shaped feet. With its rigorous, timeless aesthetic, it stands out for its surface created by an open interlacing polypropylene ribbon.

New Arrivals

    Le Bambole x Stella McCartney

    Mario Bellini

The Stella McCartney x B&B Italia capsule collection (armchair, two-seater sofa and three-seater sofa) is marking the British conscious pioneer’s first-ever interiors collaboration. The sofas feature a hand-drawn “Fungi Forest” print upholstery pulled from the Stella McCartney Summer 2022 runway collection and a responsible construction inspired by shared sustainability values. The collaboration was successfully introduced at Stella McCartney’s “Future of Fashion” material innovation installation during Milan Design Week in June 2022. The partnership was born of Stella’s long-time personal passion for Bellini’s works and celebrates Le Bambole’s 50th anniversary. Made with circularity in mind, the new Le Bambole is designed to be fully disassembled – allowing for easier repairs and the most responsible use of materials at the end of life. The Stella McCartney x B&B Italia capsule also introduces a new sustainable innovation exclusively developed by the design company’s R&D team: Le Bambole’s upholstery is a 100% biodegradable and toxin-free polyester leaving no harmful microplastics in the environment.
