A Gallery for Living: Inside the Lark Street Residence
On a quiet street, behind a facade of silver travertine carved into subtle facets that catch light and shadow, stands a home that feels both contemporary and timeless. The Lark Street Residence is a masterclass in restraint, where a clean, minimal palette allows space for what truly matters: the art of living, and the art that fills it.

Designed by Nazareno Architecture + Design, with principal architect Anthony Nazareno at the helm, the home achieves a balance of beauty and functionality. “The goal was to create a house that will age gracefully,” Nazareno shares. “Every detail—from the materials to the furniture—was chosen with longevity in mind.”

From the moment you step into the Lark Street Residence, it’s clear that this is a home designed to transcend trends. The entryway sets the tone with an Alcor console from Maxalto, paired with the soft brass glow of portable lamps. A marble partition greets guests upon entry, offering only a glimpse of the expansive living room beyond.

That moment of restraint makes the reveal even more powerful. The living room unfolds as the true heart of the home: expansive, light-filled, and layered with both art and comfort. A neutral canvas of Iranian travertine allows the homeowners’ striking art collection to take center stage, while Nazareno’s curation of furniture adds structure and softness in equal measure.
B&B Italia’s Atoll sofa creates a strong architectural anchor, balanced by the sculptural curves of Mart armchairs. Low-slung tables like the Lithos, Elios, and the Button side table in Carrara marble, form a constellation of textures. Another Alcor storage unit stands close by, not only framing, but enhancing the homeowners’ collected art. Above, the second-floor gallery overlooks the room, framing both the art and the life unfolding below.

Flowing from the living area, the indoor lanai and family room provide a softer, more intimate counterpoint. Caratos chairs surround a beautiful Allure O’ dining table and the layered lighting of an ambient table lamp on the Eileen console create a space designed for conversation and pause. On the other side of the room, the sleek leather of the Amoenus Soft armchairs and organic texture of the Planck small table complement each other.

The dining area continues this language of fluidity. Around the long dining table, Caratos open-back chairs bring elegance and ease, encouraging lingering conversations that stretch beyond meal time. At the far end of the room, the Soleide console in textured metal stands as a quiet accent piece—an anchor for cherished art pieces.

On the same floor, a guest room is designed for comfort and calm. In this bedroom, the Husk bed and Pathos bench offer inviting softness at the center of the room, paired with Amphora night tables topped with table lamps for a calming glow. On one side of the room, a pair of Caratos chairs surround the Pathos small table and create a quiet corner for reading or lounging, making the homeowners’ dear guests feel instantly at home.

Outside, the narrative continues with B&B Italia Outdoor furniture extending the home into the garden and enclosed lanai. These spaces blur the boundary between architecture and nature, reinforcing the home’s monochrome restraint while opening it to life beyond the walls. The Gio outdoor sofa offers both physical and visual comfort with its teak frame and soft cushions, while the Gio outdoor coffee table provides the perfect spot for the homeowners’ coffee breaks and evening gatherings.
Paired with the Fat-Fat small table, the setup creates a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living and achieves a balance of beauty and functionality, thanks to Ar. Nazareno’s purposeful design.

The result is a residence that goes beyond trends. It is a home designed not just for today, but for decades of memories to come—a true collaboration between architect, client, and the best of Italian design.
